Amazon’s Canadian third-party sellers can now access the company’s Ships in Product Packaging (SIPP) program.

Through the program, businesses that use the Fulfillment by Amazon service can leverage new tools to reduce packaging waste.

SIPP, previously only used by major CPG brands, is designed to reduce unnecessary waste by testing packages for their ability to ship in the original manufacturer’s packaging – sans the Amazon box.

Notably, the e-commerce giant previously collaborated with Procter & Gamble to transform Tide laundry detergent bottles into shippable boxes. The new design uses 60% less plastic and 30% less water, and is four pounds lighter.
