Sawler recalls turnip sticks due to Listeria concerns

Sawler Gardens is recalling Sawler brand Turnip Sticks and Compliments brand Baby Cut Turnip Sticks due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The affected products have been sold in Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and may have been distributed in other provinces and territories.

These products include turnip sticks with UPC code 6 21063 36600 3 and baby turnip sticks with UPC code 0 68820 12504.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
