Robert Isabella, a 16-year veteran of Weston Foods, will join Silver Hills in the new role of chief supply chain officer. Isabella starts with the B.C. company on Feb. 3. He will report to co-founder and president Stan Smith.

Isabella began with Weston Foods as a transport manager before eventually moving into the director of transportation position. In 2008, he became vice-president of logistics Quebec, and in 2018 took on the role of vice-president of manufacturing Canada. In this position, Isabella was responsible for 11 manufacturing facilities across the country.

In his new role, Isabella will oversee all operational aspects of the company's Silver Hills Bakery brand including production, procurement, warehouse, logistics, sanitation, and maintenance.

"We're delighted for Rob to join the Silver Hills team and are looking forward to the leadership and experience he will bring to our growing business," said Smith in a press release announcing Isabella's hire. "We are confident that his expertise in management and operations, as well as his passion for driving productivity through positive company culture, will make him a valuable addition to the team."
