A sold-out crowd of executives from across the grocery industry gathered at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto Nov. 19 for the 8th annual Thought Leadership CEO conference.
Carman Allison, VP of consumer insights with Nielsen Canada, presented research around “consumer infidelity and offered advice on how to embrace it, CFIG president Tom Barlow interviewed Frank Ho, Nations Fresh Foods’ senior vice-president about foodtainment and the importance of the in-store experience and executives from News Marketing Canada discussed data and the importance of personalized offers .
Moderated by Tony Chapman, the day concluded with a panel discussion featuring Walmart Canada’s Lee Tappenden, Empire’s Michael Medline, Kruger’s Dino Bianco and Hain-Celestial Canada’s Beena Goldenberg. The industry CEOs discussed the benefits of organizational change, among other topics.
