Brothers Sam and Surrinder Warraich founded Warraich Meats 11 years ago. Today there are seven stores in the Toronto suburb of Brampton.
The typical Warraich store is around 1,200 square feet in size and employs six to eight people during peak hours.
Warraich started out catering to Brampton’s large South Asian population with dishes like Afghan Chicken. Today, about a fifth of customers are non-South Asian.
An authentic Tandoori spit is used to cook chicken. The Warraich brothers would like to get their products sold in supermarkets.
