CFIG names scholarship winner
Scott Adams of Saskatoon, Sask., has been named the recipient of the $6000 Canadian Federation of Independent Grocer’s Anthony G. Wilshaw Memorial Scholarship winner.
“Scott has an exemplary academic and extra-curricular record that makes us proud to be a part of what we know will be a very successful academic career in the next few years,” said John Scott, CFIG president.
Scott graduated from Walter Murray Collegiate this year and among other academic awards, he received the Governor General’s Academic Medal.
In addition, Scott has been invovled in research around the issue of minimizing world food shortages. His resarch at the University of Saskatchewan in the Sanofi-Aventis Bio Talent Challenge received first place nationally.
He is also active in the community, volunteering for the Saskatoon Food Bank and serving as a member of the Youth Advisory Council of the Saskatoon Community Foundation.
