Common baking ingredient recalled over allergen concerns

Indigo Natural Foods is recalling Indigo Packaged Goodness brand Brewers Yeast Debittered because it contains peanut, which is not declared on the label.

The recall was sparked by a consumer complaint and covers 400-gram packs (UPC 6 99692 00659 1) sold in Ontario between October 24, 2018 and February 7, 2019.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. The government agency is ensuring the products covered under the current recall are removed from store shelves.
