Basha Foods International baklava brand recalled

Basha International Foods is recalling its brand of baklava sold in Alberta because it contains peanut not declared on the label.

The recalled product was sold in 32 oz. and 64 oz.-boxes and carry UPC codes 6 47838 16241 0 and 6 47838 16242 7, respectively.

This recall was triggered by a consumer complaint and so far there has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of this product.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
