Crossmark Canada has made two executive appointments.

The Mississauga, Ont.-based sales and marketing services company named Kim Thompson its senior vice-president, client and business development, and hired Steve Noble as director of Crossmark's marketing agency, Marketing Werks.

Thompson, who was named one of Canadian Grocer's Star Women in Grocery in 2016, has led Crossmark Canada's client services team for the past four years. Thompson will continue to oversee client relationships and business development for Crossmark Canada, and will also oversee Marketing Werks in Canada.

"Thompson will be instrumental to developing headquarter and retail growth strategies for both existing and new clients, as well as overseeing a full range of marketing solutions by further integrating Marketing Werks opportunities," according to a press release announcing her expanded role.

Noble, meanwhile, will report to Thompson and play a key role in managing Marketing Werks in Canada.

"Experienced, dynamic, and passionate leadership is essential to delivering and sustaining growth. We are proud and excited to have Kim and Steve leading these key businesses where they can directly impact our clients' growth strategies," said Crossmark Canada president and CEO Mark Ayer.

Earlier this week it was announced the company's former president and CEO, Christopher Terrio, had joined Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits to lead its agency business.

Terrio, who left Crossmark Canada last August after nearly six years with the company, was replaced by Ayer.
