Culantro recalled over salmonella concerns

Food inspection agency says product may have been sold in bulk without labels or codes
11/1/2018

Canada Herb is recalling culantro sold in Ontario because it
may contain salmonella.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says the product may have been sold in clear plastic bags bearing the name Canada Herb or may have been repackaged or sold in bulk without a label or coding. In a press release, CFIA says "consumers who are unsure if they have purchased the affected product are advised to contact their retailer."

The recall was triggered by test results and the CFIA continues to investigate. The agency is ensuring all of the recalled products are removed from store shelves.
