11/7/2017

Christopher Terrio is joining Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits.

The former Crossmark Canada president and CEO has been tapped to lead Kirkwood Diamond Canada, the company's national sales and marketing agency that represents more than 100 Canadian and international alcohol brands. He replaces Gord Haist, who has retired from the Niagara, Ont.-based company.

Terrio has more than 30 years executive leadership experience, including two decades in the alcohol sector, and has held positions with such companies as Heineken, Coca-Cola Canada and Consumer Impact Marketing.

"We're in the business of connecting global brands with consumers on a national basis in an ever-changing retail environment and that requires the discipline of a consumer marketer, a belief in shared success, an understanding of channels and a global perspective. That's what Chris brings to the role," said Murray Souter, president and CEO of Diamond Estates Wine & Spirits, in a press release.

Terrio left Crossmark Canada last August after nearly six years with the company. He was replaced by Mark Ayer.
