Nina Barton will be stepping into the role of president, Kraft Heinz Canada, effective Jan. 1, the company has announced.
The appointment will see Barton, currently based at the company’s headquarters in Chicago, return to Canada—she hails from Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto.
Over the last nine years, Barton has held various roles at the food company and she is currently president of global digital online growth. In addition to her new position, the company says Barton will continue her global duties.
“I’m excited to return back home as head of Kraft Heinz Canada,” said Barton in a release. “The Canadian environment offers many challenges and exciting opportunities, and I look forward to working with the team.”
Barton will replace Carlos Piani, who will head to Chicago and take on the role of head of strategic initiatives and mergers & acquisitions at Kraft Heinz, a newly created position at the company. Piani will continue to report to CEO Bernardo Hees.
