Loblaw’s reality recipe show returns for second season

The reality show Recipe to Riches that goes cross-Canada to find the best recipe from a home cook to turn into a President’s Choice product is returning for a second season.

The Food Network series announced the national casting call begins today, according to a report in Broadcaster Magazine.

Each episode of Recipe to Riches features three home cooks competing in one of seven food categories–from snacks to entrees.

The home cooks are faced with a series of challenges that will see if their recipes can be mass-produced and marketed to become a President’s Choice product.

Each category winner receives $25,000 and their recipe is developed into a President’s Choice product made available at select Loblaw stores.

Canadian views vote online for the final grand prize winning recipe and ultimate winner of $250,000.
