Maple Leaf Foods fills senior marketing role

Casey Richards will oversee marketing and innovation across all brands and will continue to oversee the company's pastry business


Maple Leaf Foods has named Casey Richards senior vice-president of marketing and innovation.

The position was previously held by Adam Grogan who joined Greenleaf Foods–a U.S. plant-based food company owned by Maple Leaf Foods– as chief operating officer on Sept. 9.

In his new role, Richards will oversee marketing and innovation for Maple Leaf’s family of brands “while continuing to oversee the pastry business” he has helped lead since starting with the company in 2017, according to a press release. He will also join the Maple Leaf Foods Senior Leadership Team.

“His deep and broad experience in general management and consumer packaged goods marketing will be a valuable asset in supporting the execution of our strategic blueprint,” said Curtis Frank, chief operating officer, Maple Leaf Foods, in a statement.

Before joining Maple Leaf Foods, Richards held key roles at companies such as General Mills, Nestlé and Conagra.
