Maple Leaf Foods is looking for a new chief financial officer,
following the announcement that Debbie Simpson is stepping down from the position Nov. 1.
Simpson started with the company 12 years ago and has served as CFO for the last five years. The company is searching for her replacement.
In a press release announcing her departure, Simpson said it was the right time personally and professionally to “take on a new challenge in a new industry.”
“I have enjoyed my career with Maple Leaf immensely,” she said. “In the process, I have worked alongside a Finance team with great depth and experience and I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition.”
