“We’re excited to partner with one of Canada's premiere and beloved national retailers,” said Ron Cihocki, country manager, Redbox Canada in a release. “This enables Redbox to continue our expansion into new markets, conveniently reaching customers at locations where they already shop.”

Redbox recently celebrated it first anniversary in Canada and  millionth disc rental in March. Sobeys joins a long list of Canadian grocers where Redbox is available such as Loblaws, Atlantic Superstores, Walmart, Real Canadian Superstore, Zehrs, Safeway, Extra Foods and Giant Tiger.

The U.S. company started in 2002, and expanded to Canada in May 2012.

Currently, there are more than 500 Redbox kiosks across Ontario, Western Canada and the Maritimes.
