VersaCold hires SVP, GM for recently-acquired CPX division

VersaCold Logistics Services has appointed Paul Merrick as senior vice-president and general manager of its Coast Pacific Xpress (CPX) business unit, effective Aug. 28.

Merrick was most recently with Purolator, where he held several senior level positions including vice-president of field operations, general manager for Western Canada, and general manager of British Columbia and Northern Alberta.

In a press release announcing Merrick's hire, VersaCold president and CEO Douglas Harrison said Merrick would play an integral role in expanding the CPX business, which VersaCold acquired more than a year ago, in Central and Eastern Canada.
