Target's new digital tools aimed at millennials

Target aims to make shopping online and in-store easier with its new features for its smartphone app.

Currently in beta testing, and available in 40 stores in the U.S., the app will allow customers to create a shopping list and view a map showing the location of those items in the store.

The retailer is ramping up its e-commerce capabilities as it aims to fulfill online orders from 137 stores at the end of the month.

Some outlets such as Minneapolis, Miami and Boston, will be able to pay an extra $10 for same-day shipping with some 140 stores doubling as warehouses.

A report in USA Today said that the retailer is focused on attracting millennials with its new mobile and digital initiatives.
