From Toronto-based Abokichi comes a Japanese-inspired instant miso soup. Available in three flavours: Original, Black Pepper, and Chili, this miso soup departs from traditional miso in that it is much lower in salt, with each serving containing just 1% of the recommended daily allowance of sodium. These vegan soups are also made from non-GMO soybeans, garlic, spices and sake kasu–the fermented, pressed rice leftovers from sake brewing. Convenient to prepare, consumers need only add water to the pouch contents and, if they like, tofu and vegetables.
