Its new owners have given Nestlé Waters North America a new name.

The former business unit of Swiss food and beverage giant Nestlé, now operates as BlueTriton Brands. The name change follows the completion of sale by One Rock Capital Partners in partnership with Metropoulos and Co.

The US$4.3-billion sale, which was announced in February, included the Canadian Pure Life brand, Poland Spring, Deer Park and Ozarka brands. (The company's international premium brands such as Perrier, S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna were not included in the sale.)

"Our unique U.S. and Canadian platforms provide us opportunities to touch every consumer, in all facets of their lives, and we look forward to strengthening our bonds with consumers and communities by leading with innovation and relevance," said Dean Metropoulos, chairman and interim chief executive officer of BlueTriton Brands, in a press release.

The company says its new name reflects its role as a" guardian of sustainable resources and a provider of fresh water. Moreover, BlueTriton signifies the company's continued commitment as an independent business to sustainability and high-quality products and services."

Additional branding changes including a new corporate logo, website and social channels will rollout in the coming months.
