Campbell Company has a new president in Canada. Ana Dominguez, SC Johnson’s general manager, took over at the iconic soup maker on Monday.

She replaced longtime Campbell head Philip Donne.

Dominguez (right), who grew up in Colombia, spent the last 17 years with SC Johnson in marketing and management. She led the company’s Puerto Rico and Caribbean operations before being named general manager of SC Johnson Canada three years ago.

She started her career with Procter & Gamble in Colombia. With SC Johnson, she also spent time working in Brazil and Venezuela.

Dominguez will oversee all of Campbell’s business in Canada, including its eponymous soup brand, V8, Goldfish and Pepperidge Farms brands.

Mark Alexander, the president of Campbell North America said in a statement that Dominguez brings much experience “in the fast moving consumer goods sector, both in Canada and internationally, to the role.”

“She has a strong track record of delivering growth and will continue to work to build our position as an industry leader by strengthening our core and expanding into new growth areas,” he added.

Donne led Campbell in Canada for more than 12 years before announcing his departure in June. His last day on the job was in July. Campbell said that Donne had left the company to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

Dominguez has an MBA in international business from Schiller International University in Paris and a degree in industrial engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia.

She was a judge in Walmart’s Green Student Challenge and sits on the board of directors of Long Point Waterfowl, a Great Lakes conservation group.

In its most recent quarterly results, for the three months to April 27, Campbell said that its Canadians sales fell. The decline was led by the negative impact of a falling Canadian dollar and a sales decline in beverages. Snack and soup sales rose.
