Fresh Express salad products recalled over Cyclospora concerns

Fresh Express is recalling a number of its Fresh Express brand salad products due to possible Cyclospora contamination.

The following Fresh Express branded products, which were distributed nationally, are part of the recall:

• Chopped Kit Thai 'N' Cashews (UPC 0 71279 30925 5)


• Veggie Lover's (UPC 0 0 71279 28106 3)


• Chopped Kit Sunflower Crisp (UPC 0 71279 30933 0)


• Iceberg Garden (UPC 0 71279 10411 9)


• Iceberg Garden ( UPC 0 71279 10302 0)


• SHREDS (UPC 0 71279 15101 4)


• Green & Crisp (UPC 0 71279 10813 1)


• Chopped Kit Asian (UPC 0 71279 30929 3)


• Chopped Kit Southwest (UPC 0 71279 30930 9)


• 2 Color Deli Cole Slaw (UPC 0 71279 12302 8)

The recall was triggered by the company and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
