Egil Moller Nielsen has a new way to do online grocery

Egil Moller Nielsen is a newbie to the grocery industry.

He’s the man behind Penguin Fresh—an online grocery service managed by SmartCentres, a real estate giant that operates some 250 outdoor shopping malls across Canada.

Moller Nielsen loves making companies more efficient. He spent seven years at Lego and was part of a team that turned the toymaker around. You can read more about Moller Nielsen in the latest issue of Canadian Grocer.

In the meantime, here’s your Penguin Fresh primer:

Fun video facts:

  • 1. The Penguin Pick-Up Lego model was custom made for Moller Nielsen by Lego and made to scale.
  • 2. The Lego person with Egil Moller Nielsen written on the front was his business card at Lego. It was made to resemble him and has his phone number and email written on the back. Only top executives at Lego received them. They could order them by the box.
