New Fresh St. Market location to open in Vancouver this year
Georgia Main Food Group’s eighth Fresh St. Market location will open in North Vancouver this fall.
It will be located at 150 Esplanade West, currently home to an IGA. That store – which has operated at the location for 22 years – will remain open as it transitions into a Fresh St. Market.
“I would like to thank all our loyal customers for their patronage of IGA in Lower Lonsdale and want you to know our transition into a Fresh St. Market will bring a new fresh grocery experience that will be exciting – a place where you will find the best local produce and ready-to-go foods and where you can dine-in with friends and family at your leisure,” said Gary Sorenson, chief operating officer of Georgia Main Food Group, in a release.
The new store will feature nods to its Lower Lonsdale location with sections like Esplanade Delicatessen and Shipyards Kitchenware. It will feature the grocer’s first-ever Burrito Bar, a hot meal self-service bar and carving station, as well as a seating area for customers.
An opening date will be announced in the near future.
