T&T Supermarkets recently opened a 220,000 square-foot warehouse in the Greater Toronto Area.

The facility in Scarborough, Ont. neighbours a Canada Post Distribution Centre and Amazon Warehouse.

In an Instagram post, CEO Tina Lee said the opening is part of the Loblaw-owned grocer’s expansion plans. “We’ve been busting at the seams at our old warehouse for a long time,” she wrote.

“This new warehouse gives us the logistical capabilities to serve even more communities, allowing us to open four new stores this year in the Eastern Region of Canada: London, Ont., Kanata, Ont., downtown Toronto and Brossard, Que,” Lee tells Canadian Grocer. “We want to bring the unique T&T experience to more neighbourhoods and deliver fresh, authentic foods to your table. This warehouse allows us to do just that.”
