Three new gluten-free meatless chicken launches

Sol Cuisine launches what it calls is Canada's first vegan; gluten-free; non-GMO project verified meatless chicken product.

The three meatless chicken products created by Cordon Vert-trained chef, Michael Abramson. The new meatless chicken products also use cutting edge High Moisture Extrusion technology. This process allows the products to better mimic the texture of meat, providing sensory variety for the vegan customer.

The new flavours in the line include: Smoky Chipotle Tinga, a traditional Cuernavaca recipe featuring authentic Mexican flavours; Ginger Lime Teriyaki, with traditional teriyaki flavours reinvented with ginger and lime; and Tangy Korean BBQ, a sweet and spicy recipe featuring Korean “Gochugaru” peppers.

“The vegan/vegetarian market is becoming more mainstream,” said Sara Farkas, retail manager at Sol Cuisine. “It is important for us to offer unique and delicious protein sources for a variety of customers’dietary needs."

They're ready in 6-minutes, and come packaged in BPA-free, re-sealable stand-up pouches that are easy to prepare on the stovetop or in the microwave.

All three items are available at Sobeys and other Natural Food retailers across Canada and the United States, these three new vegan entrees.

The entrees retail for $5.99 each.
