SIAL reveals 2024 Innovation finalists

SIAL has selected 10 finalists for its 2024 Innovation competition.

This year, the company received 200 applications from 17 countries.

"I'm delighted with the number and the diversity of innovations entered in this year's competition. The companies have shown great creativity, sometimes in simplicity, sometimes in sophistication. The concern to offer more sustainable products and packaging, as well as the blending of cultures, also continues to grow in the offering, which I love because it's so in tune with today's reality,” Isabele Marquis, senior food strategist and co-chair of the competition.

Applications were open to products launched in January 2023 and after.

The products must offer something new or different from what is currently available in the Canadian market while having the potential to expand to several markets, among other criteria. 

The 2024 SIAL Innovation award ceremony will be held on May 15, during the SIAL trade show in Montreal, running May 15 to 17.
