Giant Tiger announces new president

Thomas Haig has been appointed president and COO at discount retailer Giant Tiger.

Haig will be taking on the role from Greg Farrell, who is preparing for retirement. Farrell has been with Giant Tiger for 15 years in various roles. He was appointed president and COO in 2012.

Haig has over 40 years of experience in a number of leadership roles, including president and COO of Zellers and president, stores and specialty division at the Hudson's Bay Company. Most recently, Haig held the position of interim COO at Danier Leather.
