Grocery & Specialty Food West (GSF) has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The annual trade show and exhibition, organized by the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG), was scheduled to take place April 27 and 28 in Vancouver. It has been rescheduled for April 26 and 27, 2021.

In a statement issued on Tuesday afternoon, CFIG said it would now focus its attention and resources on Grocery Innovations Canada, which will be held in Toronto October 27 and 28.

"On behalf of the CFIG Board of Directors, staff and our industry partners, we look forward to welcoming everyone to GIC 2020 in October and at that time, sharing some of our plans for GSF 2021, which we promise will be one of the most enjoyable and memorable events we will experience—together!" the statement reads.

Industry events across North America including Expo West, Seafood Expo and Groceryshop have also been postponed.
