Giant Tiger rolls out loyalty program

Giant Tiger has introduced a loyalty program called GT VIP at its stores in Ontario, with plans for a nationwide rollout starting early next year.

The program is accessed via mobile through the retailer's free app, where shoppers can also search their exclusive GT VIP deals and browse the weekly flyer. Additionally, members will receive perks including discounts at certain restaurants and sporting events.

"It's clear that Canadian shoppers love loyalty programs. We saw GT VIP as an opportunity to encourage our loyal customers, reward those who shop with us regularly, and grow their connection to our brand," said Cindy-Lynn Steele, senior vice-president, corporate strategy & marketing, Giant Tiger Stores Limited, in a press release announcing the program.
