2/18/2015

Tim Berman has been named interim acting president of Kraft Canada after the Canadian division’s current head was given more international responsibility.

Berman (pictured) was previously vice-president of sales at Toronto-based Kraft. He's been with the company for more than 30 years.

He takes over from Chris Kempczinski who has been named executive vice-president of growth initiatives and president of international for Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft Foods Group.

Kempczinski became president of Kraft Canada in July 2012, prior to Kraft’s spinoff from Mondelez. He will continue to oversee the Canadian operation in his new role.

Taking over for Berman is Mark Ayer, appointed acting VP of sales.

Ayer rejoined Kraft last August as VP of field sales. He started his CPG career with Kraft in the late 1980s and later worked at companies such as Gillette and Procter & Gamble.
