Kraft Heinz Company Canadian leadership team announced

Tim Berman, current president of Kraft Canada, to retire in December

One month after the Competition Bureau approved the proposed merger of H.J. Heinz Co and Kraft Foods Group, the company has announced a new leadership team that will operate in Canada as part of Kraft Heinz Co., a spokesperson confirmed. The changes are effective immediately.

Mark Ayer has been appointed head of foodservice. He began his career in Kraft in 1989, holding a variety of sales-related positions. He also held positions at Gilette Canada and Procter & Gamble before returning to Kraft last July as vice-president of field sales.

Tony Matta will lead the team as chief marketing officer, Canada. Matta is an industry eteran, having held marketing roles at PepsiCo and Frito Lay North America.

Brian Arbique, former managing director at Heinz Canada, will serve as head of sales.

They will report to CEO Bernardo Hees.

Tim Berman (pictured), current president of Kraft Canada, will retire in December. Berman was previously vice-president of sales at Toronto-based Kraft. He’s been with the company for more than 30 years.

The new president of the Canadian division will be announced in August.
