Quality Foods awarded Island Business of the Year
Independent grocer bills itself as an Island original
Vancouver Island-based Quality Foods took home top honours at the 17th Annual Vancouver Island Business Excellence Awards.
The independent grocery was named Business of the Year at the event, which honours the Island’s most impressive companies.
Among the finalists in the category were Dodd’s Furniture & Mattress, Chemistry Consulting of Victoria and The Coulson Group of Port Alberni.
Quality Foods, which started with one store in Qualicum Beach in 1982, now marks its Vancouver Island roots by billing itself as “an Island Original.
The chain is heading into its 35th year in business and recently opened a new flagship store in View Royal. It now operates 13 stores.
