Soyaworld becomes Earth’s Own

Alternative dairy and organic beverage maker Soyaworld has changed its name to Earth’s Own Food Company Inc.

The rebranding is a reflection of Soyaworld’s new emphasis on healthy product offerings beyond soy.

The Burnaby, B.C.-based company said it will focus on expanding its portfolio of ethically and sustainably produced nutritional products. Among it’s upcoming launches: Almond Fresh Unsweetened almond beverage and Almond Fresh Chocolate. Soyaworld’s well-known brands include Ryza and So Good, So Nice. 

As Earth’s Own, the company intends to expand distribution beyond Canada and the U.S. into emerging markets such as India.

“From our early days as a startup, to our leadership today, Earth’s Own has grown significantly as a company. We’re at a new inflection point on our journey and our name change implicitly recognizes this direction,” said company president Maheb Nathoo in a statement.

Earth’s Own has also set up what it calls a Health Advisory Board that will be “responsible for leading its strategic approach to nutritional innovation, consumer education and sustainability.”

Earth’s Own has seven manufacturing sites and employs 205 people in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal.
