Earthfresh restructures leadership team

Produce company announces appointments following Mountain King acquisition

Earthfresh operates a 110,000 sq. ft. packing facility in Burlington, Ont.

Earthfresh announced a number of changes to its leadership team this week.

The changes follow the produce company’s recent acquisition of Mountain King.

Dan Martin is appointed chief operating officer and executive vice president. He will lead Earthfresh’s regional model for market expansion and oversee corporate and strategic development and operations across Canada and the U.S.

Andrew George takes on the role of chief sales and procurement officer. George will oversee all sales and procurement functions across Canada and the U.S.

Derrick Rayner is named senior vice president of grower relations and business development, working across Canada and the U.S. Rayner will provide leadership to the sales and procurement teams, and help strengthen grower relationships.

Alex Paladino takes up the role of VP of operations, Canada, and process improvement in Canada and the U.S. He will oversee capital expenditures, lean manufacturing processes, development of key metrics and reporting to align operations across all facilities. 

Jessica Anderson is now VP of marketing and innovation for Canada. She will lead product innovation, packaging, branding and marketing initiatives.

Kevin Sorichetti has been appointed vice president of key accounts and business development, working across Canada and the U.S.

Bryan McNamara has been tapped as director of procurement, Canada.

Gretel Herranz is now inside sales director, working across Canada and the U.S.

Other appointments include Jason Graves, VP of human resources; John Pope, VP of sales, U.S.; Pedro Lopez, VP of operations, U.S.; and JD Layton, director of procurement, U.S. 

“As we continue to grow, it is essential to empower our team members who have  demonstrated dedication and skill. These appointments not only acknowledge their  contributions, but also strengthen our foundation for future growth, ” said Tom Hughes, president, in a press release.
