Nominations are open for the 2025 Golden Pencil Awards.
Handed out annually since 1957 by the Food Industry Association of Canada, the Golden Pencil Award recognizes long-standing contributions of grocery leaders to the industry and to their communities.
The awards will be presented following Canadian Grocer’s GroceryConnex conference, taking place in Toronto this November.
Last year’s honourees were Karl Vokey, retired SVP national sourcing and own brands for Sobeys; the late Eileen Mac Donald, CEO and president of GS1 Canada; and John Pigott, CEO of Club Coffee and Morrison Lamothe Inc.
